With Deakin‘s M140i, we have a bit of a split personality on our hands; it’s been a while since we’ve come across something with this much duality.

In standard comfort drive modes, it has the best street manners one could ask for. Comfortable and refined with a driver-centric cockpit to pilot from. Ecotune Stage 2 ECU/TCU accentuates its excellent driving characteristics, delivering improved torque response and drastically improving shift behaviour.

It’s not until you move it to its Sport+ mode and tickle the traction button that you understand how bonkers this platform is. This much torque in a lightweight RWD chassis with a (now) responsive 8-speed transmission has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Torquey, tail-happy, and responsive.
